New finds-BCN.

I was out and about in Barcelona this weekend searching for the gem shops I am in desperate need for in order to get my fix of inspiring things and more. I came across Le Fortune vintage boutique in the Barri Gotic area. A beautifully presented shop selling accessories and garments. Sourced and made from within Barcelona as well as Paris, this small shop stocks a variety of labels, Josefina Ferroni, Pujol, Maravillas Miller to mention a few…….

Another name to look out for- Melina Urueta. Through the jewellery work I have been doing these past few weeks, I have got to know Melina and she has her embellished hats, jewellery and collars on sale in this boutique and more, which are dotted around the city. Check out her blog which will have new work uploaded soon. It’s fresh, creative and I love it!

In a separate art store near the MACBA (museu d’art Contemporani de Barcelona)  I came across Après Ski. I recognised her elegant, quirky jewellery which I had seen earlier in the day in the vintage boutique. She does mostly pendants/collares and necklaces/colgantes, as well as bracelets/pulseras and handkerchiefs/pañuelos!

I will be back with more!

Markets continued

I thought I would follow on for my last post on the subject of markets. I came across a few more on my travels and wanted to share them. Pots and pans, shisha pipes, antique camels and more….

My mum has recently started making her own jewellery, necklaces and bracelets. I went with her to a market to buy some beads and stones, all from within the Middle East, the volume for sale was incredible so I took a few quick snaps to show you….

Also below are some more unusual things I picked up along the way……
